About
About the practice
Session Vertex Grid is a small Sydney practice devoted to session quality analysis for live applications.
Why we exist
Most application teams already collect charts. What they often lack is a careful reading of the session itself: the stretch of time in which a person tries to finish something and either succeeds, recovers, or leaves. Session Vertex Grid was founded to do that reading in plain language and to hand findings back in a form a sprint can use.
Origin
The practice began in Sydney after years of watching product groups argue from partial evidence — a funnel dip here, a support tag there — without anyone sitting with the full attempt. We borrowed the habits of field research and editorial reporting: observe, annotate, cross-check, then write.
How we work
We stay deliberately small. Two senior analysts lead every engagement; junior assistants may help with transcript coding but never own the findings alone. We prefer fewer clients and longer attention over a crowded calendar.
Values we keep visible:
- Specificity over slogans — name the screen, the label, the wait time.
- Respect for the people in the sessions — we treat recordings as evidence, not entertainment.
- Useful endings — every engagement closes with owners and dates, not a slide deck left to gather dust.
Australia context
Our desk sits at Level 11, 57 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Much of the work is remote across Australian time zones; regulated industries here often need extra care with consent language and retention windows, which we discuss at intake.
Credentials we claim honestly
We do not sell certifications. What we offer is practiced judgment from repeated session quality analysis across insurance, marketplace, membership, and public-service applications. References are available under a mutual NDA when you ask.
